Banjo, a Redwood, Calif.-based social discovery app, has raised $100 million in Series C round led by Softbank , with participation from BlueRun Ventures. The startup intends to use the fresh fund to continue to develop its platform.

Cursive Labs, a San Diego-based venture studio, has raised $2.2 million in Series C funding round. Investors included Crescent Ridge Partners Ventures, Wavemaker Partners, Howard Lindzon of Social Leverage, Keshif Ventures and Bootstrap Incubation. 

Robinhood, a Palo Alto-based retail brokerage platform, has raised $50 million in funding round led by New Enterprise Associates, with participation from Index Ventures, Ribbit Capital, Social Leverage and Vaiza Investments. The company intends to use the funds to grow its team and support more platform development, and accelerate international expansion.

Intradiem Inc., an Alpharetta, GA-based provider of intraday automation, has raised an undisclosed amount. Investors included JMI Equity and MK Capital, it\’s software is used daily by over 300,000 frontline workers at over 50 companies. 

Itineris, a Deurle, Belgium-based provider of operational software solution for the utilities sector, has raised $10 million in funding round led by Gimv and Gimv Arkiv Tech Fund II. The company intends to use the fresh funds for product development and capabilities expansion primarily in its core software products.

Doblet, a San Francisco-based network of batteries on demand for charging any phones, has raised $1.3 million in seed funding round led by SoftTech VC.

The Odyssey, a New York City-based millennial-targeted content platform, has raised $3 million in funding round. Investors included Scott Dorsey, Traci Dolan and Tim Kopp. The company intends to use the funds to extend its platform from 80 to more than markets. 

Jetbay, a Beijing-based platform designed for foreign inbound travelers, has raised $1.6 million in seed funding round. ChinaRock capital, a San Francisco-based investment management firm that focuses on China-based companies, led the round. Jetbay\’s funding round is a combination of venture capital investment and Chinese government grant.

Wag!, a Los Angeles-based app maker that provides pet owners with instant access to quality dog walkers, has raised $2.45 million in seed funding round led by Freestyle Capital, Greylock, Crunchfund, Slow Ventures, Social Leverage and RRE. The company intends to use the fresh funds to speed up expansion into additional major US markets, as well as to expand product offerings and services. 

Twistlock, a San Francisco-based provider of an enterprise security suite for container technology, has raised $2.5 million in seed funding round led by YL Ventures, with participation from unnamed angel investors. 

GaN Systems Inc., an Ottawa-based developer of gallium nitride power switching semiconductors, has raised $20 million in venture capital financing led by Cycle Capital Management, with participation from BDC Capital, China\’s Tsing Capital and also existing investors Chrysalix Energy Venture capital and Rockport Capital.

Blitsy, a Chicago-based arts and crafts e-commerce company, has raised $3.6 million in Series A funding round led by Greycroft Partners, with participation from new investors Data point Capital and existing investors Chicago Ventures, FireStarter Fund, Lakewest Venture Partners, and angel investors Brian Spaly and Binh Tran. The company intends to use the funds to expand operations.

YouScience, a Nashville, Tennessee-based provider of workforce development platform, has raised $3.9 million of a $5 million investment round. The company will use the funds to expand its marketing and sales operations, and also in its product development. YouScience CEO Philip Hardin and The Ball Foundation, have also contributed $2.2 million to this round.

Delvv, a Palo Alto-based developer of mobile intelligence apps, has raised $3.5 million in seed funding round, investors were not disclosed. The company will use the funds to continue growth of its content discovery app, and also in launching new products that focused on mobile user experience.

Big Data Partnership, a London-based big data services company, has raised £3.1m in Series B financing round led by Beringea. The company will use the funds to expand its sales and marketing operations, as well as engineering and data science capabilities.

Govini, a San Francisco-based business intelligence provider, has raised $20 million in Series C funding round. Investors included Accel Partners, Salesforce Ventures and Symphony Technology Group.

Kisi Inc., a New York-based provider of cloud-managed keyless access control system, has raised $1.5 million in funding round led by Berlin -based Point Nine Capital, with participation from windforce Ventures, Mesa Ventures and Marcy Simon. The company will use the fresh funds to build out advanced features and grow the company\’s infrastructures.

ChatWork, a Japan and Sunnyvale-based cloud communication platform for small business and enterprise teams, has raised $2.5 million in funding round led by GMO VenturePartners. The company plans to use the funds for product development, hiring manpower, and to continue its growth in North America and European region.
