The deal provides LOGICnow with new capabilities to remotely managed Mac workstations and further solidifies the company’s ability to support both Mac and PCs.

LOGICnow, the global market leader in integrated cloud-based IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions, has acquired Mac-MSP, a leading provider of Apple Mac-centric SaaS tools for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The deal will provide LOGICnow’s customers the same ability to secure, manage and protect the Mac environment as they currently have for PC systems through the company’s industry-leading ITSM cloud-based platform for comprehensive remote management and monitoring (RMM).  

Boosting our Mac capabilities is a major focus for us in 2016,” Stephen Garland, Senior Vice President of Engineering, LOGICnow, said in a statement: Due to historically lower market demand, RMM platforms have rarely included any form of dedicated Mac management capability, with the result that MSPs have not been able to focus as closely on Macs as PCs and have had less capability to deliver responsive Mac support. We are therefore investing to ensure that our MAX Remote Management platform is the best platform in the industry for Macs, just as it is for PCs – differentiating not only us, but our customers.”
