Quorum, a US-based provider of public affairs software, announced that it has acquired Capitol Canary, a US technology company that provides grassroots advocacy platform. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed to the public.

The combined strengths of the two companies, Capitol Canary’s proven digital advocacy tools and Quorum’s market-leading public affairs software, will allow Quorum to solidify its leadership in the government and public affairs industry. The deal will help Quorum expand its market reach, gaining access to over 2000 clients, or more than 50 percent of the Fortune 100 companies.

Founded in 2013 and based in Arlington, Virginia, Capitol Canary is a leading government affairs technology company, providing a suite of advocacy tools used by 1200 organizations, including 25 percent of the Fortune 100 companies, to engage and mobilize supporters. The company provides access to the most comprehensive intelligence on every level of government and the most accurate contact information for officials and staffers. The world’s leading nonprofits, associations, and Fortune companies rely on Capitol Canary’s technology platform for donor insights, GOTV, grassroots advocacy, legislative tracking and alerting, grassroots advocacy, strategic communications, and stakeholder engagement to gain the edge they need to win their policy battles.

Capitol Canary has made a number of acquisitions in the past year. In 2021, it added data solutions provider KnowWho and GovPredict, which build software tools for the government affairs community.

As part of the deal, Jeb Ory, Co-founder and President of Capitol Canary, will join Quorum’s Board of Directors.
