Voxela, a US-based technology startup developing next-generation eldercare solution services, has announced that it has raised a seed round of an undisclosed amount. BlackCrow Capital, Longevity Venture Partners, and Third Act Ventures led this latest funding round.
Based in Santa Clara, California, Voxela is a developer and provider of AI-powered care management solutions that can perform everything from monitoring daily conditions, notification, detecting accidents, assessment, and evaluation. The company was founded by serial entrepreneurs Yuta Endo, Goutham Kamath, and Yusuke Yoshida.
With this fresh capital, Voxela aims to develop its functions, increase the number of care management installations in Japan, and finance expansion programs in other countries.
The company’s mission is to reinvent what nursing homes should be and to leverage technology to address the longstanding challenges of eldercare globally. Voxela VCare has already been introduced in Nursing Home/Assisted Living facilities in Japan, and the company is planning to introduce it to other countries.
Voxela has created a comprehensive, personalized database of movements and activities using Vision AI Technology. It also developed AI-powered solutions that can be used to detect and even prevent falls and accidents.
